Defensive Gun Use:12 Real-Life Heroes Who Saved the Day in October!

If you are wondering if you really have the aptitude to defend yourself with a firearm, the info below should give you some confidence. If a wide number of average people can do it, so can you.

Americans have been forced to defend themselves through this increasingly violent time as our social and cultural situations fracture.

Studies show a staggering 500,000 to 3 million defensive gun uses annually, according to the CDC. The latest, a 2021 comprehensive study, puts the number of defensive gun uses at 1.6 million per year.

Though news media accounts only account for a fraction of the defensive uses, here are a sampling of examples of successful defense by armed Americans just in the month of October: Oct. 3, Chicago: A tow truck driver with a concealed carry permit thwarted a gunman who targeted bystanders after a bus crash.

Oct. 6, Bismark, North Dakota: A naked intruder claimed he needed his clothes back. The resident held the stranger at gunpoint until police arrived.

Oct. 13, Virginia Beach, Virginia: A contractor justified in shooting an assailant during a construction noise dispute.

Oct. 15, Hollywood Hills, California: An award-winning stylist shot an intruder attempting a break-in.

Oct. 21, Wake Forest, North Carolina: Bystander with a concealed carry permit intervened in a domestic violence-related altercation.

Oct. 22, Skokie, Illinois: A concealed carry permit holder defended against physical attacks during a pro-Israel rally.

Oct. 25, Philadelphia: Store employee with a concealed carry permit fatally shot an armed robber.

Oct. 28, Atlanta: Construction worker returned fire, wounding a juvenile attempting a theft.

These examples debunk the myth that you are in more danger to yourself in owning a defensive firearm. You can take responsibility for your personal safety and make a difference.

Get the training your need now. It's going to get worse before it gets better.
