Brand new Marines show they are up to the task.

Three Marines received awards on Thursday for disarming a juvenile who pulled a knife on another kid during a dispute at a Chick-fil-A restaurant in Virginia.

Cpls. Bradley Feldkamp, John Darby, and Lance Cpl. Nicholas Dural received the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal at the headquarters of the Marine Corps Embassy Security Group in Quantico, Virginia.

The Marines broke up the altercation between the youths, according to the local sheriff's office.

The training for the three new Marines was finished at the Marine Corps Base in Quantico last month.

According to the Marines, one of the three teens went to see whether the woman was okay after the kids accidentally hit her during the altercation.

"That’s when I turned around, they were still tussling, and one of the smaller ones pulled out a knife," said Dural said, according to a military news outlet TaskandPurpose.com. "I saw the knife and I just reacted."

The three new Marines were able to disarm the teen to end the fight before the cops arrived.

"I want to be that Marine," Dural said. "I want to be a calm that people see. I want to be that strong person that anybody can trust. I was like that for my sisters when I grew up with them and I would love to do that for the rest of the world."

Congratulations Marines. Well done.
